Mr. Cobuzzi is a senior executive with strong
management and leadership ability, with a proven
track record of success in a variety of product and
service businesses. His experience encompasses all
business applications and functions with an emphasis
on operational, administrative, and financial areas.
Mr. Cobuzzi has been responsible for the successful
negotiation and completion of Domestic and
International transactions in both traditional and
e-commerce business environments, and is capable of
developing a winning business strategy and
mobilizing a flexible and responsive organization to
successfully implement such a strategy. Over the
past seven years, Mr. Cobuzzi has exhibited an
aptitude in developing and executing a plan for the
successful restructure and reorganization of
troubled organizations.
In January of 2004, Mr. Cobuzzi partnered with JHW
Greentree Capital, a J.H. Whitney company, to
acquire companies in the Corporate Event Production
industry. Serving as Chief Operating Officer of TBA
Holdings, LLC, he and his team went on to acquire
TBA Entertainment Corporation in June, 2004 and PGI,
Inc. in July of 2005. The resulting merged
organization, TBA Global Events, LLC, had annual
sales exceeding $150 million. After reorganizing the
management team and restructuring overhead costs
down by over 25%, the resulting organization was
able to achieve profitability in calendar year 2006.
Prior to TBA, Mr. Cobuzzi had been with MediaLive
International since January 2001 as Executive Vice
President of Operations and Strategic Planning. In
that role, his responsibilities included heading up
worldwide operations, major vendor relationships,
and mergers and acquisitions. Instrumental in all
company acquisitions and business development
activities for MediaLive, he completed a series of
transactions at a value in excess of $120 million
domestically and $30 million internationally,
ranking them among the largest transactions
consummated in the industry during 2001. He assisted
in leading this organization through a
reorganization and restructuring via a successful
Chapter 11 filing, in conjunction with a change of
control transaction and the development of a
complete go forward plan which was adopted by the
new ownership.
Mr. Cobuzzi joined MediaLive International from
MusicNet, a division of Real Networks, where he
served as Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure
with MusicNet, he helped create one of the first
legitimate subscription based digital music services
with a launch budget of just over $18 million.
Prior to MusicNet, Cobuzzi served as Chief Operating
Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of
Ticketmaster Group, Inc. His tenure at Ticketmaster
covered almost 15 years, during which he served in a
variety of senior leadership roles where
responsibilities included the direct supervision of
all operations, research & development,
administration, finance, business development, legal
and human resources functions worldwide. During his
career with Ticketmaster, the company’s enterprise
value went from just a few million dollars to nearly
$1 billion.
