Ms. Haley has over 25 years of executive level experience
in finance and operations for top restaurant and food service chains. As
Director of Operations for Caffe Classico, Inc., a division of Baskin
Robbins, Ms. Haley managed a field of company owned and franchised stores,
product development, new store construction and the franchisee review
board. She transitioned this entrepreneurial company to operationally sound
through the development of a professional infrastructure, advanced
operating system, franchisee adherence, and concept revamp necessary to
grow in a national environment.
As Director of Jamba Juice Company, Ms. Haley managed all operating
departments except the field operators. She successfully developed a
training program, new store opening department, and non-traditional
development putting Jamba Juice in airports and universities, including SFO,
LAX, Yale and Santa Clara. She also reengineered menu offering reducing the
cost of sales by 5% with no material effect on top lines sales.
Ms. Haley served as President of High Tech Burrito, Inc. in San Rafael,
California. She was hired by the Board of Directors to turn around this
13-year old, 16-unit specialty, fast food chain with serious financial and
operational problems. She successfully took the company from a loss to the
first profit in four years and the largest in six years. She reduced prime
costs (cost of sales and labor) by 10% in 90 days, managed banking
relationships and renegotiated past-due invoices to long term interest only
notes. She negotiated contracts and leases including the successful
negotiation with two separate landlords to preclude them from placing
direct competitors and co-tenants and wrote a comprehensive business plan
for use in raising $4 million in private placement funds.
Prior to working with The Scotland Group, Inc., Ms. Haley served as Chief
Financial Officer of The Puccini Restaurant Group. This national
organization concepts, designs, contract manages and joint ventures fine
dining and casual restaurants predominantly in hotels. She was hired by the
New York investor/partner to assist the San Francisco managing partner
through a turnaround, expansion and in raising the first round of capital.
Ms. Haley directed the successful restructuring of the restaurant group to
form a new LLC consolidating the compliment of the business. She also
redesigned the financial reporting system to provide comprehensive
analytical information and streamlined cash flow forecasting tools to
engineer the turnaround. Ms. Haley wrote the business plan including five
year financial projections raising two and a half million dollars in
private placement funding.
Ms. Haley received her BS in Business Management from St. Mary’s College in
Moraga, California. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the
Association for Corporate Growth in San Francisco, and a former member of
the Board of Directors of High Tech Burrito, Inc. and Center for Living. |
