Joe, a native of Connecticut received his BS in Accounting
from Quinnipiac University and an MBA from the University of New Haven.
He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut and is
active in his community having served on various non-profit and
charitable boards including Danbury Hospital and the YMCA of
Wallingford, CT. Active in the Turnaround Management Association (TMA),
Joe successfully completed the requirements necessary to receive the
designation of Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP). His
certification became effective early in 2005.
Joe’s experience includes senior positions in operations and finance with
FASCO Industries, Inc. BTR, Inc., Plessey, Inc., Pepperidge Farm, Inc.,
Bangor Punta Corporation and The Stanley Works. He began his career as
an auditor for Multer Carlson & Co.
As President/CEO of a $600 million manufacturer of fractional horsepower
electric motors, blowers and gear motors, Joe was responsible for three
operating divisions with fourteen plants located in United States,
Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia and Thailand. When he
initially assumed responsibility the company had revenues of $200
million and was marginally profitable with money losing operations in
Australia, Canada and Pennsylvania. Under his leadership, all operations
where returned to profitability in his first six months and over the
term of his engagement he grew sales and earnings 8% and 20% per annum.
Recently, Joe served as the interim President/CRO of a privately held
leading provider of B2B content management solutions. While in this
position, he directed the company through a turnaround which resulted in
the client achieving cash self-sufficiency over a period of six months.
He also has worked with privately owned companies in the manufacturing,
textile, construction and pharmaceutical areas as a facilitator and as
an enabler of strategic growth initiatives including the arrangement of
new funding sources. |
